Dana Rideout is an American Sign language-English Interpreter with 20+ years of experience. Dana has worked in a variety of settings in her freelance career from theater to legal interpreting and everything in-between. However, her passion for education and her desire for empowering people through knowledge has held the focus of her profession, which has been in Educational Interpreting. Dana has worked in all areas of education from K-12, college, and university through out her professional career. Dana is a devoted and loving wife, and mom to 3 wonderful boys, and pours all her extra time and energy into them. When she is not running from one sporting event to another, working on homework projects, or teaching life lessons, she enjoys spending time in nature, listening to music, signing, cooking, and baking.
Denika Philpott
Denika Philpott is an ASL-English Interpreter who resides in NL and has been interpreting for 20+ years. For the first 15 years of her career, Denika worked the post secondary sector. Since 2019 she has focused on freelance interpreting in a variety of settings. Denika is an animal lover who loves to knit, hike and would love nothing more than to live on a farm.
Heather Crane
Heather Crane, 13 years as a professional Sign language interpreter. She is a very self-motivated, energetic, crafty and constructive go getter. She always believes in “working hard and playing harder” since life is too short and knowledge is power. Her love of language began at MUN with a French degree but she found her true passion with ASL and the Deaf community. Due to the variety of workplaces, the language and multitasking complexity creates learning opportunities while working and creating equitable environments. When she isn’t working she can be found walking her dog, playing hockey, renovating or travelling. Heather is a devoted mom, wife and dog lover who enjoys all of lives twists and turns.
